RSS Feed Aggregators like PageFlakes are free online tools that are used to automatically keep you updated with current information from a set of websites or blogs. This tool allows students to collaborate on research projects, view up to date information in your content area, and connect with the world outside of the classroom in motivating new way. Participants will create a PageFlakes account, and set up a page for immediate use in their classrooms.

Differentiating Instrutction Using Technology: Voice Thread

Participants will learn to use the free Web 2.0 tool, VoiceThread. This tool helps students to communicate more effectively as they type sentences or use a microphone to narrate a series of slides that are uploaded on the Internet. The VoiceThread presentations can be shared with parents, used to enable collaboration between classes, and review lesson information with the click of a link.
